For the past two days, I have shared rooms throughout the top tow floors of the home in part 1 and part 2 of the coverage of this decorator showhouse, and today, I continue to bring to you more inspired design schemes for your home and design office alike!
Yes, we designers love to inspire each other as well!
Beginning today with the design by Jack Levy, whose room was layered in a dark, rich color palette with hints of oranges and reds throughout.the color scheme.
A Marble Mantle by Chesney’s creates a central focal point, flanked by Contemporary Candle Sconces by Herve Van Der Straeten via Maison Gerard with all the upholstered pieces utilizing fabrics as well as the wallcovering which are all exclusively through Lee Jofa help set the tone for the design in this room.
Especially the addition of the applique on the arm chair, pleated drapery panels, and of course, the whimsical Fornasetti wallpaper from the new collection & Fornasetti Tiered Table by Eric Appel Antiques LLC.
Acquario wallpaper - Fornasetti II - By Cole & Son |
Piero Fornasetti (1913–1988) was a sculptor from Milan that followed in the family tradition, which even today continues with Barnaba, his son at the helm.
Throughout the '90s and early 2000's, from the auction at Christie's in 1998, the touring exhibition in 2003 in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture, and the launch of the book ‘Fornasetti, Conversation with Philippe Starck’ among other key events that has made the brand a name that all recognize, worldwide.
Among those successful collaborations in design, are the collections of wallpapers with Cole & Son, sold through Lee Jofa / Kravet in New York such as the very successful 'Acquario" that is used in this room.
An exquisite Pewter and Bronze Cocktail Table by LaVerne by John Salibello Antiques, is so rich in detail as it is placed in front of a great looking armless sofa - which I personally love - and Frances Oak Arm Chairs via Liz O’Brien...
and the petite Chinoiserie Nesting Tables by Jean Karajian Gallery just finished off the look!
These strong pops of color, also made an appearance in the room designed by Louis J. Garcia-Maldonado for Garcia/Maldonado, Inc..
The "Sueded Buffalo" upholstered walls by Edelman Leather are the epitome of chic, and I couldn't help but reach out and "touch" each panel.. they were SO soft - just fabulous...
The small lounge area with Strato Lounge Chairs by Michael Berman via Profiles and Lorin Marsh accent table work as that additional seating area, by the window which is a little more informal while the original 1950's piece by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates by the fireplace, just completes the seating layout before you walk through into the en-suite closet and bathroom.
The Chandelier with Sixteen curved brass arms from the 1950s, Italy, via Bernd Goeckler Antiques help anchor and center the space, which acts as a lounge and bachelor pad or I suppose a modern day Man Cave / Home Theater room all at the same time.
Queen Size, Custom Daybed Frame with Romo Fabric and throws,
art steeped in the female form, flanking both walls of the room, and above the custom fireplace by Renaissance Marble Works, Inc. with a Hearth Cabinet™ Ventless Fireplace insert really bring "that message home".
The bathroom, with custom designed panel, hand carved on site by the artist Moon Sang Mi was just incredible and so beautifully finished off this stunning transformation.
From the ultra masculine, to the ultra feminine Kathryn M. Ireland and her traditional style bedroom with all of her new textiles for Scalamandre.
Layering the Finely carved Anglo-Indian Ebonized Mahogany Tester Bed from India, (1825-35) by Jonathan Burden has been transformed with the canopy, trims and layers of textiles that have made it a haven and sleeping hideaway for any guest that would wish to come and stay.
via Curbed Drapery - Duden Lodge, Blue, 16533-001 Wallpaper - Duden Lodge |
and in a small corner, by the fireplace, you can find an upholstered Tufted Georgian Style Slipper ChairAntique English Oak 5 Drawer Chest with Splayed Scalloped Bracket Feet
La Grande Odalisque by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, 1814 |
